Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST, with on-call requirements of 2-3 call shifts/month.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging using CT scans. This role includes confirming patient identity and exam verification, coordinating with physicians, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring proper documentation and patient safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating scans.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort.
Insert IVs as needed for tests.
Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility while utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC and ensure images are sent to the PACS system upon completion of exams.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of experience as a CT Technologist.
Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Certifications / Licensure

Current CT Tech License in New York State.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Injection therapy certification preferred; must be willing to complete during the orientation process.
