3 × 12-hour shifts per week, Day Shift (07:00 – 19:30). Must work at least 1-2 weekends per month. No holidays.
Job Description
The Temple Women's and Families Maternity Unit is a family-centered, multidisciplinary care area dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. The unit promotes patient safety, education, and positive birth experiences through collaboration among nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will deliver high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care to a diverse urban population.
Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
- Monitor antepartum patients, including fetal monitoring.
- Support families by promoting education and positive experiences.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
- Float to Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery and NICU.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Current NRP certification.
- Experience in fetal monitoring required (certification not needed).
