MRI Technologist

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Candidate Preference: Local candidates preferred (contract experience a plus)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of MRI experience to join a dynamic imaging team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in MRI procedures, patient safety, contrast administration, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Local candidates with prior contract experience are preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary checks of diagnosis, prescriptions, Epic orders, and patient identification prior to imaging

• Greet patients, verify identification, explain procedures thoroughly, and ensure patient comfort

• Obtain patient history and screen for surgeries, implants, and contraindications

• Verify GFR levels when required and obtain consent for contrast administration

• Place angiocatheters and administer IV MRI contrast as directed by the Radiologist

• Operate MRI scanners, RF coils, workstations, patient monitoring systems, and injectors to produce high-quality diagnostic images

• Archive and verify MRI images as required

• Perform quality assurance testing per departmental protocols

• Monitor patient status and tolerance throughout procedures

• Assist radiologists and clinical staff during imaging procedures

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other regulatory standards

• Manage inventory and ensure proper stock rotation

• Respond to emergency situations per department policy

• Communicate equipment malfunctions and image quality concerns promptly

• Maintain strong working relationships with staff and patients

Education & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology and/or MRI program (Required)

• ARRT (MRI) Certification – REQUIRED

• MRI Certification – REQUIRED

• CT Certification – Preferred

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
