MRI Technologist
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
Contract - 13 weeks
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience to join a leading healthcare facility in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Local candidates with prior contract experience are preferred (not required).
Education & Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology and/or MRI Technology Program (Required)

ARRT (MRI) Certification (Required)

MRI Certification (Required)

CT Certification (Preferred)
-
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel/contract experience

Strong knowledge of Epic EMR

Excellent communication and patient care skills
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform verification of diagnosis, prescriptions, Epic orders, and patient identification prior to procedures.

Greet and properly identify patients; explain MRI procedures clearly to patients and families.

Obtain detailed patient history, screen for surgeries/implants, verify GFR as needed, and obtain consent for contrast administration.

Place angiocatheters and administer IV MRI contrast agents under Radiologist direction.

Operate MRI scanners, RF coils, MRI workstations, patient monitoring systems, and MR injectors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Archive and verify MRI images; provide hard-copy images when required.

Perform routine quality assurance testing according to departmental protocols.

Monitor patient status, safety, and comfort throughout procedures.

Assist radiologists, physicians, and care team members during MRI procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and all applicable safety regulations.

Maintain adequate inventory supplies and ensure proper stock rotation.

Respond appropriately to emergency situations per department policies.

Communicate equipment malfunctions and image quality issues promptly.

Maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and external partners.
