o Primary Stroke Center
o Beds: 72
● General Information:
o Beds: 2 rooms – 1 EP/Cath room, 1 Cath Lab
o Minimum Years of Experience? 2 years, for RN and Techs
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Cath Lab - Diagnostics, interventional, femoral and radial approach, IFR, FFR, Balloon pumps
o EP – pacemakers, AICS, loop recorders, diagnostic EP, right sided ablations
● Average cases per day:
o 4
● Required Licensure & Certifications:
o RN: BLS, ACLS
o RT: BLS, ARRT or RCIS; ACLS preferred
● Skills required:
o RN - Experience with the above patient types, Cath Lab, Critical care experience (ED or ICU).
o RT/CVT - Cath lab experience and experience with the above patient types.
o Balloon pumps, temp pacers
o This is a 24/7. 365 STEMI Program. Travelers need to work well together, maintain a team environment, have great communication skills, work well interdisciplinary teams, Willing to teach and educate others
● Support within the Department:
o Receptionist/HUC
o Respiratory therapy
o Hospitalist
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Hemodynamic system: Maclab (travelers will not monitor cases)
o IV Pump: Alaris
o Med dispensing: Pyxis
o Contrast: Manifold
o PACS:
o C-arms: Client
● Floating: If yes, where?
o Only between rooms in the department and the pre-op area

o Weekend rotation: Call only

▪ The traveler will be taking close to 50% call per month. Multiple nights a week and if on a weekend, would include the whole weekend, end of shift Friday until Monday morning.
▪ Weekdays are 1700-0630
