Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NIHSS certification required
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department is responsible for delivering high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide timely assessment, treatment, and patient stabilization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity and clinical condition
• Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients of all ages
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Assist physicians with emergency procedures, trauma care, and critical interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with physicians, EMS personnel, specialists, and healthcare team members
