CT Technologist (CT/X-Ray) - Night Shift
Burlington, WI | Level III Trauma Center | 13-Week Travel Contract
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a dynamic night shift role at a 123-bed Level III Trauma and Primary Stroke Center in Burlington, WI. This position requires interchangeable proficiency in CT and X-ray, with independent work on nights (no other support). Handle 45 scans/day for inpatient/ED patients. First-time travelers welcome with 6 years acute care experience. COVID vaccine required.
Schedule

Monday-Friday: 2100-0700 (10-hour shifts)
-
On-call: 1 in every 7th weekend (30-min response time)

Weekends/Holidays: Based on needs (1 holiday expected)

Availability: Must be flexible 7 days/week; 6-week schedules provided 4 weeks in advance

Facility Highlights

123 beds; Level III Trauma Center; Primary Stroke Center

Imaging: 2 CT rooms, 1 X-ray room, 2 portable machines

Patient types: Inpatient/ED only (no outpatients on nights)

CT: Strokes, traumas, abdominal, COVID, CTA, angiography, contrast/non-contrast, vascular

X-ray: Fluoroscopy, OR, all body parts (chest, abdominal, hand, joint, extremity); portable trauma

Patient ratios: 1:1
-
PPE: Adequate supply, N95s, PAPR available
Requirements
-
3 years experience (6 years for first-time travelers in acute care)

Dual CT/X-ray skills required (interchange/floating based on needs)

Must work independently on nights

Certifications/Licenses: BLS, ARRT, WI Radiology License

Systems: EPIC (required), McKesson PACS

Equipment: Client and Toshiba CT scanners, Fuji (portable) and Canon X-ray
Preferred Skills/Experience
-
CT: IV skills, power injection, Client/Toshiba experience, CTA, trauma/stroke

X-ray: General radiography, Fuji/Canon experience, fluoroscopy

Additional strengths: C-arm and surgery experience, CT stroke/trauma experience, Client CT experience, portable X-ray experience (including trauma)
Support & Orientation

Team: Supervisor of Imaging, Director of Imaging/Cardiovascular Service Line

Orientation: 4 days (Day 1: Supervisor meet; Days 2-4: Hands-on training with CT/X-ray techs)
