Day Shift – (example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) Minimum staffing is 1 Charge/ 2 RNs/ 1 CST
Night Shift – Minimum Staffing is 1 Charge/ 2 RNs/ 1 CST
Patient Ratios – mostly 1:1 – AWHONN Guidelines adhered to
Type of equipment – Client EFM
EMR – CPN and Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care L&D RN experience
BLS, ACLS and NRP
Must be able to Circulate for C-Sections
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Prior Meditech experience
Strong OB Triage skills
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Triage/ Evaluate OB patients; manage labor patients; oversee recovery of Vaginal and C-sections deliveries
Manage IOL with Cervidil/ cytotec/ Pitocin
