Overview

Estimated total pay

Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe care delivery
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
Float between multiple departments and facilities within the float pool
Float pool units include 2 Medical-Surgical departments (Orthopedics/Neuroscience), Telemetry, and possibly Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
May occasionally float to Emergency Department holding area for admitted patients awaiting beds upstairs
Typically assigned to one unit per shift; rare occasions of moving units due to census
Patient-to-nurse ratio generally 6:1 in main departments, 4-5:1 in ED holding area

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
