Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Job Description

• Provide direct and indirect patient care addressing psychosocial, physical, developmental, and general care needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians regarding patient condition, diagnostic test results, and symptom changes.
• Patient ratio:

  • Laboring patients: 1:1
  • Postpartum: 1 nurse to 3 mothers and 3 babies
• Unit size: 5 beds
• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Call may be required
• No 48-hour shifts
• No floating
• Block scheduling possible upon request
• Must work Christmas Eve or Christmas Night
• EMR system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Turquoise

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Tennessee RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery (higher experience requirement confirmed)
• Travel experience preferred (not required)
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Must include Return to Office (RTO) time with submission and make up RTO at end of contract (max RTO 1 week; blackout on 12/31)
