This contract Speech Language Pathologist position is based in a welcoming, student-centered public school district in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. As a contract SLP, you will provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs. Typical responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, writing clear and legally compliant reports, developing and updating IEP goals, delivering therapy in individual and small group settings, and participating in IEP and team meetings. You will collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, special educators, and related service providers to support communication skills within the classroom and across school environments. Your caseload may include students with articulation and phonological disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency and voice disorders, pragmatic language challenges, and communication needs associated with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and other health impairments. There may be opportunities to work with students using AAC systems, support social communication groups, and contribute to language and literacy initiatives, depending on building assignments and district priorities. A typical day may involve a combination of pull-out and push-in services, scheduled assessment blocks, time for documentation and progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff and families. The district strives to maintain manageable caseloads and reasonable student-to-therapist ratios, though specific numbers can vary by building, grade levels served, and time of year. You can anticipate working standard school-day hours aligned with the district calendar, Monday through Friday, with no evening, weekend, or holiday clinical hours required. Therapy and meeting spaces in the district are designed to support focused intervention and collaboration. You can expect access to a variety of age-appropriate materials, technology resources, and district-supported professional tools. Experience: New Grad Accepted
Licenses: SLP-PA
References: 1 Reference in entire work history Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State SLP License in Pennsylvania
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Educational Specialist Certification

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
