This school-based Travel Speech-Language Pathologist position is located in Fryeburg, Maine, a charming New England town known for its scenic beauty, welcoming community, and easy access to year-round outdoor recreation. Nestled near the New Hampshire border and the White Mountains, Fryeburg offers a perfect balance of small-town comfort and nearby adventure. The area is ideal for professionals who enjoy hiking, kayaking, skiing, and exploring lakes and rivers, as well as those who appreciate picturesque foliage, local festivals, and a relaxed pace of life. The district serves a broad K-12 population in a traditional school setting, giving you the opportunity to work with students across all grade levels. This is an excellent role for building or expanding your school-based experience, as you will have exposure to a wide range of speech and language needs and the full spectrum of IEP responsibilities. You will be joining a supportive educational community that values collaboration between related service providers, classroom teachers, and families. This is an onsite, Monday through Friday position with an expected schedule of approximately 35 hours per week. As a traveler, you will be paid only for hours worked; school holidays, professional development days, and closures related to weather or other events are unpaid. The assignment follows the school-year calendar, and while specific dates are not listed, your work will be aligned with the district’s academic schedule. In this role, you can expect a mixed K-12 caseload. Your day may include conducting evaluations and re-evaluations, planning and delivering individual and small-group therapy sessions, consulting with teachers about classroom strategies, and documenting progress. You will participate in IEP meetings, help develop and update IEP goals, and collaborate closely with the special education team to ensure that services are coordinated and aligned with students’ educational needs. Typical responsibilities include: Speech and language screenings and comprehensive evaluations for K-12 students Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEPs Providing direct therapy services, both pull-out and in-classroom, depending on student needs and school schedules Collecting data and maintaining timely, accurate documentation within the school’s designated systems Collaborating with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and administrators Communicating with families regarding student progress and strategies for carryover into the home environment Contributing to Response to Intervention (RTI) or similar support frameworks, as appropriate The school environment is team-oriented, with an emphasis on student-centered care and collaborative problem-solving. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Licenses: SLP-ME

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State SLP License in State of Residence
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)


Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
