This travel Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is based in Vallejo, California, a vibrant community in the North Bay region. Vallejo offers convenient access to the San Francisco Bay Area and Napa/Sonoma wine country, giving you a unique blend of urban amenities, waterfront charm, and nearby outdoor recreation. With mild weather and scenic views of the bay, Vallejo provides an enjoyable place to live and work during your assignment. This role is a full-time school-based position in a PreK–8th grade setting. You can expect a consistent weekly schedule of approximately 35 hours, with the day starting around 7. As a travel clinician, you will be integrated into a supportive educational team while maintaining the autonomy that travelers value. You will collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers. The caseload will typically range from about 55 to 60 students across preschool through middle school grades. Students on your caseload may present with a variety of needs including articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, fluency disorders, and social communication challenges. You will be responsible for conducting evaluations, writing comprehensive reports, developing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing both direct and indirect therapy services. A key component of this role is supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). You will oversee SLPA service delivery, assign appropriate therapy tasks, monitor documentation, and ensure that all services meet professional, ethical, and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for SLPs who enjoy leadership, mentoring, and collaboration within a school-based model. Your typical day will include a mix of scheduled therapy sessions (individual and small group), consultation with teachers, observation in classrooms, completion of evaluations, and IEP and progress report documentation. You will also participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, and other school-based consultations as needed. The role involves full case management responsibilities: scheduling students, maintaining service logs, tracking progress toward goals, and communicating with families about student needs and progress. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
State License is Required to Start the Assignment


Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
