This onsite Occupational Therapist opportunity is based in Vero Beach, Florida, a coastal community known for its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful Atlantic beaches, and welcoming neighborhoods. You will be working in a school-based setting serving students who require occupational therapy services to support their success in the educational environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday with an expected workweek of approximately 37.5 hours, offering a stable daytime routine and the opportunity to enjoy evenings and weekends in this scenic coastal area. In this role, you will provide comprehensive OT services to children and adolescents with a variety of needs, including fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, motor planning, and functional school participation skills. You will complete evaluations, develop and update treatment plans, write IEP goals, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Your typical day may include direct therapy sessions in classrooms or designated therapy spaces, consultation with teachers and staff to support accommodations and classroom strategies, and collaboration with families to promote carryover at home. The caseload will include students across a range of ages and abilities. You may work across multiple school sites within the district, and you will be supported by a collaborative educational team dedicated to student-centered care. While specific student ratios can vary by site and time of year, the environment emphasizes reasonable caseload distribution, coordinated scheduling, and a team approach to meeting student needs.
