Job Description & Requirements
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - School - (BCBA - School)
StartDate: 8/3/2026 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $2182.00 - $2248.00

This is a full-time BCBA opportunity based in East Aurora, Illinois, serving students in a school setting. The role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with approximately 37.5 hours per week. Hours are based on time worked on site, aligned with the school-day schedule. East Aurora and the surrounding Aurora area provide a welcoming, family-friendly community with a small-town feel and easy access to big-city amenities. Located along the scenic Fox River, the area offers numerous parks, trails, and outdoor recreation opportunities for biking, walking, and water activities. Residents enjoy a variety of local restaurants, cultural events, and community festivals throughout the year, as well as convenient access to shopping, entertainment, and professional sports in the greater Chicago region. The community has a diverse population and a strong commitment to education, making it an ideal setting for professionals dedicated to supporting children and families. In this school-based BCBA role, you will be a key part of a collaborative, student-centered team. You will work closely with teachers, school psychologists, related service providers, and administrators to support students with a range of behavioral and learning needs. The environment emphasizes evidence-based practice, data-driven decision-making, and a supportive culture where behavior analysts are valued contributors to student success. Typical responsibilities include conducting functional behavior assessments, developing and updating individualized behavior intervention plans, and collecting and analyzing data to monitor student progress. You will consult with classroom teams on proactive behavior strategies, reinforcement systems, and classroom management techniques, ensuring that interventions are practical, sustainable, and aligned with educational goals. You may support a mix of general education and special education classrooms and provide services to students across grade levels, depending on the needs of the school. A typical day may involve observing students in classroom and common-area settings, meeting with teachers to problem-solve behavior concerns, modeling intervention strategies, and training paraprofessionals on consistent implementation of behavior plans. You will also participate in team meetings, IEP discussions, and planning sessions to align behavioral supports with academic and social-emotional targets. Documentation of services, progress, and data summaries will be completed using the school’s systems. This position is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys school-based work, values collaboration, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a direct impact on student outcomes. You will have the chance to help shape behavioral programming, influence classroom practices, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, all within a community that offers a high quality of life and convenient access to the broader Chicago metropolitan area.

Pros

My wife and I have been traveling for almost 5 years now and we have worked with many recruiters. Eleni is our absolute favorite recruiter we’ve ever worked with. She’s friendly, kind, understanding, organized, and timely. She’s is everything you want to look for when choosing a recruiter. As a pair, it is naturally harder for us to find jobs, so having a recruiter like her to go the extra mile to find us that perfect fit is so appreciated. We are so glad to have connected with her on our travel journey!
