StartDate: 7/29/2026 Available Shifts: 7 D Pay Rate: $1981.00 - $2041.00

This school-based travel Speech-Language Pathologist – Clinical Fellow position is located in the charming community of Newberry, South Carolina, a welcoming town known for its historic downtown, tree-lined streets, and strong sense of community. Newberry offers a relaxed pace of life with easy access to outdoor recreation, local events, and the broader amenities of South Carolina’s Midlands region. Residents enjoy nearby parks, lakes, and green spaces, as well as local shops, restaurants, and cultural venues, making it an appealing location for professionals seeking both professional fulfillment and a comfortable lifestyle. The position is full-time at approximately 35 hours per week and follows a traditional school schedule. As a travel SLP-CF within the district, you will likely provide services across multiple school locations, giving you a diverse professional experience with a variety of age groups and student needs. This structure offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong, well-rounded clinical foundation early in your career. You will work in modern school environments designed to support learning and collaboration, with access to educational technology, dedicated workspaces, and a multidisciplinary team that may include school psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, special education teachers, and general education staff. The district is focused on providing supportive supervision and mentorship for Clinical Fellows, creating a collaborative atmosphere ideal for professional growth. Typical responsibilities include conducting speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, participating in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with teachers and families, and maintaining timely and accurate documentation. You will provide both individual and group therapy services, support classroom-based interventions when appropriate, and contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks as needed. Caseloads are school-based and tailored to support student communication, academic participation, and social engagement. A typical day may involve on-site or inter-school travel within the district, scheduled therapy sessions, consultation with teachers regarding classroom strategies, completion of evaluation reports, and progress notes. The school environment is team-oriented, with opportunities to collaborate, share resources, and participate in professional development activities that enhance your clinical skills. The Newberry area offers an attractive quality of life with a close-knit feel and convenient access to larger metropolitan amenities in the broader Midlands region. It is an excellent setting for a Clinical Fellow looking to gain comprehensive school-based experience, benefit from district-provided supervision, and enjoy a friendly community with a reasonable cost of living and a variety of local and regional activities.
