Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School - (SLP - School)
StartDate: 9/2/2026 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $2411.00 - $2484.00

This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is located in a scenic coastal community in Gig Harbor, Washington, known for its beautiful waterfront, vibrant harbor, and friendly small-town atmosphere. The area offers easy access to outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and boating, along with local parks, restaurants, and shops that make it an appealing place to live and work. Families are drawn to the area for its strong schools and supportive community feel, with Tacoma and the greater Puget Sound region just a short drive away. In this role, you will provide speech and language services to students within a local school district, working primarily on campus during standard school-day hours, Monday through Friday. The typical caseload includes students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs, and may span multiple grade levels depending on district needs. You will conduct evaluations, write and implement IEPs, provide direct and consultative services, and monitor student progress throughout the school year.

Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School Experience: New Grad Accepted Licenses: SLP-WA Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
Speech Therapist Clinical Fellows are Encouraged to Apply
State License is Required to Start the Assignment


Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
