Radiation Therapist - (Rad Ther)
StartDate: 4/25/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2672.00 - $2754.00

Unit Notes Submission Requirements: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply. Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up ANY BACKGROUND HITS NEED TO BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION. Agency MUST provide rad badge to traveler prior to start Radiology: Radiation Therapist, Radiation Oncology General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT, WV state license How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 1 CT Simulation scanner and 1 Linear accelerator Will they have to float/cover any other areas? no Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Image-guided radiation therapy, CBCT Experience or 'Must have' skills: knowledge of Varian linear accelerators, ability to administer external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Average # of scans/studies per day: 30-35 therapeutic radiation treatments per day. 3-5 CT simulations daily What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use? ARIA, EPIC Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) GE Lightspeed, Varian 2100 IX Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech? Briana Sisler Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No Radiologist in-house 24/7? Radiation Oncologist or covering physician available during treatment day. Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) no Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) *Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?* Monday- Friday 8a- 4:30p with minimal potential for overtime to meet clinic need Weekend Requirements: None Holiday Requirements: Closed major holidays Call or Standby requirement? Response time? none Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Can be discussed (Solid color, no navy blue). Scrubs are not provided.
