This CT Technologist opportunity is based in Erie, Pennsylvania, a welcoming lakeside community along the shores of Lake Erie. The imaging department is supported by experienced radiologists, nurses, and support staff, creating a collaborative and professional environment. In this role, you will perform a full range of CT imaging procedures, including routine body imaging, neuro imaging, CT angiography, and emergent CT studies. You will work closely with radiologists to ensure protocols are followed, images meet diagnostic quality, and patient safety and comfort remain the highest priority. Responsibilities include verifying orders, screening patients for safety and contrast contraindications, establishing IV access for contrast administration as permitted by policy, and monitoring patients during and after contrast-enhanced procedures. You will also be expected to accurately document exams, maintain equipment readiness, and adhere to departmental policies regarding radiation safety and infection control. The typical day may include a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department exams. Depending on the department’s structure, you can anticipate working with a steady but manageable patient volume designed to balance productivity with high-quality, compassionate care. CT technologists may be scheduled on 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, with potential coverage needs across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to support around-the-clock imaging services.
