Occupational Therapist - School - (OT - School)
StartDate: 8/31/2026 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $2343.00 - $2414.00

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a school district in Carlsbad, NM to provide an Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 26/27 school year. You will work in-person with students, assessing their functional abilities and developing targeted intervention strategies. Responsibilities include implementing individualized and group therapy plans, collaborating with district staff, participating in IEP meetings, and consulting with teachers and families to facilitate carryover of strategies. You will monitor progress and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications. Required qualifications are a valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico and familiarity with IEP processes. Required Qualifications
Occupational Therapist, School
Experience: New Grad Accepted

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in NM


Preferred Qualifications
Initial certification through NBCOT
Clear, articulate communication skills
Ability to explain results to a varied audience
Candidates with previous school experience a plus!
Completion of a criminal record and background check
