Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT) position available in a healthcare facility located in Bangor, Maine. This role involves providing critical respiratory care across multiple units, including adult intensive care units, cardiac critical care, and emergency department settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment and should have prior experience working in a high-acuity, protocol-driven environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bangor, ME
  • Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT) Adult ICU, Cardiac Critical Care, Emergency Department, Intermediate Care, General Medical Floors, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Schedule: 0645-1915 Day shift and 1845-0715 Night shift; minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible with extensive critical care experience; BLS required for adult RTs; NICU/PICU/Peds RTs must have BLS and NRP certification (PALS preferred).
  • Preferred Qualifications: NICU/PICU/Peds experience; experience with oscillator ventilators (e.g., SensorMedics 3100, Drager Ventilators).
  • Additional Information: Willingness to work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations; float to trained units only; orientation includes one general shift plus unit-specific training shifts; scrubs can be any professional pattern, with access to OR scrubs; on-site free parking; most needs are during night shifts; every other weekend rotation; voluntary call available with 2-hour notice prior to beginning and end of shift; RTO approval required through management; the environment is protocol-driven with a focus on critical care procedures and equipment such as Servo U, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, EV300 (NICU), and Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery.
