Description

Job Summary: Physical Therapist (Inpatient) | Clovis, New Mexico
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for a variety of health conditions. Responsibilities include applying therapeutic interventions to support rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders, while overseeing and ensuring comprehensive rehabilitation programming. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8 shift hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy; New Mexico Physical Therapy (PT) license; Basic computer skills; understanding of rules and regulations of the specific setting; knowledge of principles of growth and development; ability to evaluate and treat using rehabilitation program design; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; inpatient and outpatient experience; at least one year of Pediatric Physical Therapy (Peds PT) experience if working in pediatric settings; two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in Physical Therapy; familiarity with EPIC experience (can train on-site).
  • Additional Information:
    • Evaluates and treats patients across settings that may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care.
    • Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines and supports discharge goals established during evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
    • Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination and serves as a patient advocate.
    • Pediatric responsibilities include assessing and treating motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait, along with interviewing children and family members for diagnostic support.
    • Ability to treat patients from birth through 18 years old; ability to evaluate and treat patients 18 years old and older; floating to adult units may be required if pediatric patient census fluctuates.
    • Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
