Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Outpatient in SAN FRANCISCO, California. This position involves providing outpatient occupational therapy services for adult and geriatric patient populations, specializing in post-operative orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures, and rehabilitation of hand, wrist, and elbow injuries. The role requires the application of advanced assessment and treatment skills within a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California license in hand therapy or occupational therapy, certification in hand therapy (CHT), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). Education requirements include a Masters or higher degree in occupational therapy. No minimum years of experience specified, but a minimum of 3 years with hand clinic outpatient experience is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hand and Upper Extremity (UE) certification, experience with adult outpatient populations, vessels for potential floating to other facilities within the region.
- Certifications: BLS, CHT - cert hand therapist, AOTA - Hand/UE certification

- Additional Information: The candidate may float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities as needed. The start date is 08/24/2026, with orientation registration at 4:00 PM PST the week prior. The position involves managing post-operative orthopedic cases, acute fractures, nerve injuries, and specialty orthoses.
