Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Outpatient) located in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing specialized outpatient therapy services focused on post-operative orthopedic hand care, nerve injuries, and upper extremity rehabilitation. Candidates are required to bring their California Occupational Therapist license on the first day. The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, custom orthoses fabrication, and patient education to support functional recovery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour days with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Occupational Therapist license, Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Hand/Upper Extremity (UE) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), MS/MA Degree, minimum of 3 years of hand clinic outpatient experience, and experience with adult outpatient therapy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures, and custom orthoses fabrication.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to various facilities within the same geographic area.
  • Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities such as assessing adaptive equipment, evaluation and treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries, and patient/family education. Facility utilizes Epic electronic medical record system. The position involves a comprehensive orientation of 24 hours, with mandatory vaccinations including COVID-19 (with booster if applicable) and flu vaccines. Candidates must provide two professional references from their most recent employer at the time of submittal.
