Description

Job Summary:
The area of Bakersfield, California is seeking a CT Technologist for an acute care facility. This role involves operating CT imaging equipment to perform a variety of scans including brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angio, and cryoablation procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position operates on 12-hour shifts, working four days per week during daytime hours.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bakersfield, CA
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, days only, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in computed tomography (CT), CPR/BLS certification, California CRT license, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a CT technologist role, experience with Radnet, Merge PACS, and department-specific equipment including Canon 16 slice and Canon 80 Slice scanners.

  • Additional Information:
    • Common imaging studies include brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angio, and cryoablation.
    • Department uses Radnet and Merge PACS software, with Canon 16 slice and 80 Slice scanners.
    • Radiologists are in-house during the day and on call after hours.
    • No IV start responsibilities; IR nurses or floor/ED nurses will perform IV insertions as needed.
    • Scrubs are provided, and teal scrubs are the dress code.
    • Agency is responsible for providing film/radiology badges to travelers.
    • The hospital may cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments.
    • Holiday coverage is required for one major and one minor holiday.
    • No stand-by requirement.
