Job Summary
A Speech Language Pathologist (Pediatrics) position is available in a healthcare organization situated in an outpatient, ambulatory setting. This role involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients, including assessments, therapy planning, and family education. The position requires working Monday through Friday during daytime hours and supporting a team dedicated to pediatric outpatient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, including at least one year of hospital or acute care experience; relevant certifications such as BLS; active CA Speech Language Pathologist license in hand; proficiency with assessment tools including CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, and Western Aphasia Battery; experience with pediatric outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings; familiarity with electronic charting systems, particularly Epic.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience at a childrens hospital, PICU, pediatric outpatient, or pediatric rehabilitation facility.
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves therapy with pediatric patients across various age groups, including adolescents and infants.
  • Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing plans of care, and delivering therapy interventions such as augmented communication and feeding evaluations.
  • Candidates must have BLS certification, hold a valid CA SLP license, and meet all clinical competency requirements.
  • Flexibility for floating to different departments within a 75+ mile radius may be required.
  • This position starts on 10/12/2026 and ends on 02/15/2027, with orientation registration scheduled for 4:00 pm PST on the Monday prior to the start date.
