Description

Job Summary: Speech Language Pathologist Pediatrics in Oakland, CA
The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (Pediatrics) to provide acute care services for pediatric patients, with support that may include pediatric outpatient and pediatric rehabilitation settings. Responsibilities include clinical evaluation and treatment planning, documentation, and participation in interdisciplinary care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Required Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP); Basic Life Support (BLS); license as required for practice; Epic charting experience (required); pediatric acute care experience (minimum requirements as stated); minimum 2 years of experience; experience including at least 1 year of hospital experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric out-of-hospital/childrens hospital experience; pediatric outpatient experience; pediatric rehabilitation facility experience; pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) experience; Trauma Level I or Trauma Level II experience
  • Responsibilities: Conduct speech-language pathology assessments and develop plans of care; provide evaluation and treatment for language disorders and related communication needs; support augmentative and alternative communication and alternative communication devices; complete bedside swallow evaluations and related dysphagia care; provide patient and family education; document concurrent therapy treatment and documentation as required; participate in group therapy treatment and group therapy documentation requirements where applicable; perform or support modified barium swallow studies as applicable and interpret results when required
  • Certifications/Training: Bring required Basic Life Support (BLS) and CCC-SLP credentials
  • Submission Requirements: Submission includes 2 references from the most recent employer
  • Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 vaccine required with booster; flu vaccine status listed as unknown
