Job Summary
CT Technologist (CT) Brooklyn, New York. The organization is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and support high-quality diagnostic imaging through proper equipment setup, daily quality control, and adherence to radiation safety practices. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift (8:00 AM5:00 PM), with 37.5 minimum hours per week, and 7.5 shift hours.
  • Required Qualifications: New York State License (Radiologic Technologist, L.R.T); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current CT certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Radiologic Technologist education background (Graduate of Radiologic Technologist).
  • Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of CT experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
    • Utilizes appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic CT images.
    • Completes daily quality control calibration checks on CT equipment prior to patient studies.
    • Administers prescribed radiopharmaceuticals per physician order and established protocol, including verification of receipt and activity level prior to administration.
    • Observes departmental documentation policies by completing required logs, manuals, and charge documents, and reports equipment problems to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests and follows radiation safety guidelines consistent with the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle.
    • Maintains and retrieves patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
    • Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1 day prior to use.
