Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) Lafayette, Indiana
Respiratory Therapist opportunities are available for an ICU-focused, acute care setting supporting NICU (Level 3) needs and a mix of Med Surg, ER, and ICU patient populations. Responsibilities include providing respiratory care, managing ventilatory support and noninvasive therapies, assisting with airway-related procedures, and completing documentation in the electronic medical record. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM7:30 AM; 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapy credentials; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Level 3-unit NICU skills; acute care experience with Med Surg, ER, and ICU; experience managing BiPAPs, ventilators, and heated high-flow units; ability to assist with intubations and bedside bronchs; proficient EMR charting
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with additional experience and demonstrated proficiency in Level 3 NICU care may be considered first
Additional Information: Unit support includes ICU/CCU, NICU, and emergency care; ventilatory and respiratory equipment may include vents, BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannula, and related therapies; willingness to work with higher loads and higher acuity patients is required
