Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Pediatric (PEDS) specialty in an ICU setting. This role involves providing critical respiratory care to pediatric patients in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Med Surg, Emergency Room, and ICU. The position aims to support a cohesive and experienced team, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapy credentials, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, Level 3 NICU skills, no experience minimum (0 years), located within a reasonable proximity to the facility
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units; proficiency in bedside bronchs, intubations, and EMR charting; acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU settings
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The unit features advanced equipment including vents (PB, Drager V500, Aerogen Sa, V60 Bipap, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet NITRIC, Bubble CPAP), with a team representing long-term experience in a high-acuity environment. Candidates should demonstrate independence, self-motivation, and willingness to work in a Level 3 NICU.
