Job Summary: CT Technologist (CT) Palo Alto, CA
The CT Technologist will competently perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. This role requires independent work with sound judgment and established clinical skills to deliver safe, precise procedures and accurate results in a timely manner. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days (Shift time: Days; shift hours: 8; minimum hours per week: 40). Weekend coverage may be required; possible weekend shifts as needed.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R
  • Licensure/State Requirements: California Radiation license; California fluoroscopy license
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience is required
  • Other Requirements: Prior experience with Coronary computed tomography angiography (Coronary CTA), calcium scoring, and structural computed tomography (CT) is required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.

• Additional Information:
  • Performs radiation safety and prepares and/or administers contrast media as needed
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping orient other staff to the department
  • Works with adult and geriatric patients and demonstrates effective communication and attentive monitoring
  • Supports procedures involving vascular chest imaging (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta) and vascular CT
  • Starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture skills are required (as applicable to the role)
