Description

Job Summary:
The outpatient physical therapy position is located in Gainesville, Florida. This role involves providing outpatient therapy services to patients with a variety of needs. The position requires adherence to established clinical protocols and active participation in patient evaluations, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and patient education. It is suitable for licensed physical therapists seeking a rewarding outpatient setting.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapist, at least 1 year of outpatient therapy experience, and BLS certification are required.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapist, 1 year of outpatient experience, BLS certification, and Florida state licensure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous outpatient or travel therapy experience, ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and independent functioning.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This assignment is part of a new hospital and unit startup, with a start date of 08/10/2026. The unit has 30 beds, a staff of 22, and utilizes Meditech (Expanse) for documentation. The position involves day shift work only, with patient ratios of 7:1, and offers a variety of procedures including patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, family/patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
