Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General is needed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves assisting radiologists in performing invasive and non-invasive maternal fetal ultrasound procedures. The position focuses on standardizing practices, training residents, and conducting detailed maternal-fetal examinations, including advanced diagnostic techniques such as 3D/4D imaging and fetal echocardiograms.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent certificate program; three (3) years of experience performing complex obstetrics and gynecology or vascular scans; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification; must be registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in OB and OB GYN.
- Required Skills & Experience: Maternal-fetal ultrasound, detailed anatomical evaluation, fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, fetal wellbeing assessment.

- Additional Information: The technologist will perform essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations including detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessments, fetal wellbeing assessments (biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid assessments), needle procedure guidance, examinations of maternal pelvic anatomy (including transvaginal cervical assessment), and advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques. The role involves analyzing sonography findings, assisting with invasive procedures, and providing preliminary results to the radiologist and referring obstetric provider. The start date is 08/03/2026.
