Description

Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in Hackensack, New Jersey. This role involves performing computed tomography procedures to produce detailed sectional and three-dimensional images, supporting diagnosis and intervention processes. The technologist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Job Details:

Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program, NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.)(R) license, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. A minimum of 2 years of CT experience on Siemens Equipment is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Six months CT experience preferred; knowledge of Epic and hospital-specific HIS/RIS systems is advantageous.
Certifications & Licensure: NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License; ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.)(R); American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Additional Information: The Technologist will perform complex CT procedures, review and obtain patient clinical history, prepare, and review contrast media, and verify prescriptions and insurance authorizations. Responsibilities include patient preparation, performing venipuncture, monitoring for adverse reactions, and following departmental policies. The role requires lifting a minimum of 25 lbs., pushing and pulling at least 50 lbs., and standing for at least 6 hours daily. Candidates must be willing to cover one weekend of on-call obligations if needed, and demonstrate cultural competence in caring for diverse patient populations.
