Job Summary

A CT Technologist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. The role includes performing diagnostic CT examinations following departmental policies and protocols, preparing and positioning patients, evaluating image quality, administering contrast media as directed, maintaining radiation safety, and providing patient education and comfort.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program; Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); BLS certification; 2 years of experience in a large volume department; experience with Epic; Level 1 Trauma experience; knowledge of anatomy and physiology; ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently.

  • Additional Information: Performs diagnostic CT examinations according to established policies and protocols, including screening, preparing, and positioning patients. Demonstrates proficiency with all CT equipment, including laser camera systems, and utilizes advanced image manipulations such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction. Recognizes and rectifies imaging and filming problems, submits images to PACS systems, and maintains accurate documentation. Administers contrast media under radiologist supervision, maintains radiation safety standards, and ensures a clean and well-stocked work area. Communicates clearly with patients, addressing their physical and psychological needs, and seeks guidance when unsure of protocols. Works independently with complex technical judgment and collaborates effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
