Job Summary:
Mammographer in New York, NY. This position involves performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography, demonstrating competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors. The role requires ensuring radiographic images are properly labeled, evaluated for technical acceptability, and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner. All studies must be completed within the designated systems, and accurate patient tracking is required.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 7.5 hours per shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certificate in Diagnostic Radiography, New York State License, ARRT registration, compliance with MQSA requirements, 1+ years of experience preferred
- Additional Information: Must read facility-specific notes for detailed responsibilities. Demonstrates competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors. Ensures all radiographic images are correctly labeled as per department SOP. Evaluates images for technical acceptability and transmits images to PACS promptly. Completes all studies within the department's systems and records patient tracking information accurately.
