Description
Job Summary:
Electrophysiology Technologist position located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves performing diagnostic neurodiagnostic and sleep disorder testing, including electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocities (NCV), sensory evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing, with the possibility of oxygen therapy and continuous positive air pressure treatments (CPAP). The technologist may also provide instruction and guidance to other technologists, perform equipment setup, maintenance, and calibration, and read and score tests. The schedule is flexible, with shifts rotating between 7 PM to 7 AM, 7 AM to 7 PM, and 3 PM to 12 AM.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Flex schedule with rotating shifts of 12 hours, between 7 PM-7 AM, 7 AM-7 PM, and 3 PM-12 AM. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: No prior experience required if completion of an acceptable program of Neurophysiology. Otherwise, requires a High School Diploma and at least two (2) years of experience performing Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not applicable.
- Certifications and Licensure: Registry eligible for EEG (R. EEG T., CLTM), Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.), Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM), Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV), Polysomnography (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), and BLS (AHA or ARC).
- Additional Skills: Polysomnographic test scoring, patient history taking, patient & family instruction, oxygen therapy, CPAP treatments, equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance.
- Education: Graduation from an acceptable Neurophysiology program is required.
- Experience: No minimum years of experience required.
- Start Date: August 31, 2026.
