Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing inpatient occupational therapy services to a geriatric patient population recovering from various conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, and other neurological or trauma-related impairments. The position offers an opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility dedicated to enhancing patient recovery and quality of life.
Job Details
- Schedule: The shift runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Occupational Therapist License, Basic life support (BLS) certification, effective communication skills in English, and basic computer knowledge; preferred 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in inpatient rehabilitation.
- Additional Information: This role supports coverage for leave, with treatments primarily focused on patients with diagnoses such as stroke, debility, brain injury, amputee, cardiac issues, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions. The caseload involves mostly one-on-one therapy sessions with some group therapy, and clinicians will utilize therapy equipment and durable medical equipment (DME).
