Job Summary
This position is for a CT Technologist located in a healthcare facility. The role involves performing PET imaging on patients of all ages to assist in diagnosing illness, under the supervision of physicians and the direction of the organization. The technologist will ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and procedural standards throughout imaging procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10am-6pm, 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program; registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology; active license from the State of New York Department of Health (Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License Registered); active CT certification to perform diagnostic CT and PET-CT fusion imaging; active BLS certification; ability to start peripheral IV access lines; ability to perform injection procedures including manual unit doses and dose delivery systems; operational knowledge of personal computers, camera and processing workstations, medical charting systems, PACS, and RIS; capable of a flexible work schedule; professional interaction skills; competency in imaging quality and safety standards.
• Additional Responsibilities: Ensures policies of radiation safety and hospital standards are followed, maintains and posts current Permits to Practice, explains procedures to patients, administers contrast agents/radiopharmaceuticals under guidance, performs equipment quality checks, documents doses, archives studies, ensures compliance with HIPAA, and performs necessary administrative tasks.
