Job Summary
Mammographer, Mammography Location: Not Specified. This position involves performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography at a healthcare facility. The role requires demonstrating competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors, ensuring high-quality imaging and timely transmission of radiographic images.

Job Details

Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must possess a New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography, be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and maintain Mammography Standards Act (MQSA) requirements. No minimum years of experience required.
Schedule: Dayshift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
- Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factor.
- Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled as specified by the department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in a timely fashion.
- Ensure all studies are completed in the IDX system.
- Accurately record all required patient tracking information into the tracking system.
