Dietitian Location: Not Specified. The position involves providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, counseling, and education. This role acts as a nutritional consultant to the healthcare team, coordinating education programs and ensuring optimal patient care.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) required. Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Flexibility on start and stop time.
• Additional Requirements: Must be trained in completion of NFPE (Nutrition Focused Physical Exam). Ability to read, write, and speak English; understand medical terminology; perform arithmetic calculations; and possess strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
• Responsibilities include assessing nutritional needs, developing care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, providing nutrition counseling, educating patients and staff, maintaining documentation, and participating in projects and committees.
• Must meet or exceed customer service standards and demonstrate professional characteristics, ethics, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
