Dietitian Job Summary
Overview
- Full-time, temporary registered dietitian role
- Setting includes long-term care and inpatient care
- Day shift, 8 hours per day
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Michigan
- LPN / LVN (1 year of experience)
- LPN / LVN experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition
- Long Term Care experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk
- Implement evidence-based nutrition interventions
- Evaluate need for specialized nutrition support and make recommendations
- Document nutrition assessments in the medical record
- Reassess nutrition care plans and update as needed
- Develop and direct nutrition and hydration plans of care for residents
- Evaluate residents for weight changes, admissions, wounds, care conferences, meal rounding, menu evaluation, and survey readiness
- Participate in quality improvement projects
