Job Summary
CT Technologist, Los Angeles This role involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The position also includes performing various imaging procedures such as general radiography and fluoroscopy, contributing to patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Education and Work Experience: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology; Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)); Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice (CA); Advanced Certification in the modality of CT (required in OR and HI, preferred in CA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (CA); Venipuncture certification (CA)
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Essential Functions: Operates CT and other imaging equipment, produces detailed images for interpretation, maintains patient records and images compliant with HIPAA, performs routine equipment maintenance, and collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team.
- Additional Information: Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care from adolescence through geriatrics, ensuring image accuracy and data integrity, adhering to safety and confidentiality regulations.
