Description

Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General in a hospital setting. This position involves performing a variety of general ultrasound exams, including Abdomen, Small Parts, GYN, and OB (including Fetal Anatomy scans). The role emphasizes OB, with experience in fetal brain, pylorus, and appendix preferred. The ultrasonographer will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment within a 250-bed hospital, performing approximately 10-12 exams daily. The position starts on 11/09/2026 and ends on 02/06/2027, with a schedule of day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with potential occasional PM shifts.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 8-hour variable day shifts. Possibility of working PM shifts on occasion.
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma; ARDMS certification in OB/GYN & ABDOMEN; BLS (AHA or ARC certifications acceptable); minimum of 2+ years of ultrasound experience, including OB (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester) and NICU experience; experience with Epic charting system; strong imaging skills with attention to detail; team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate in Ultrasound; additional training or experience in fetal brain, appendix, or NICU ultrasound.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley.
  • Additional Information: The ultrasound department utilizes Philips EPIQ Elite machines. The unit performs general ultrasound exams with a focus on OB, with approximately 10-12 exams per day. No DVT or US-guided procedures are performed in this department, aside from HSGs. The environment is fast-paced and focused on teamwork and quality patient care. Call requirements include weeknight and weekend shifts, with call response time of 45 minutes. The contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; travelers may be on call during these periods and are eligible for callback pay. Holidays may affect guaranteed hours.
