Job Summary:
The CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist position is located in a healthcare facility and requires the ability to perform imaging procedures effectively, with or without direct supervision. This role involves preparing patients for scans, operating CT equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and assisting radiologists or physicians as needed. The position is scheduled for night shifts, including some graveyard hours, with a commitment of four to ten hours per shift.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 4-10 hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Certification by the State of California, Department of Health Services, as a Radiologic Technologist; Satisfactory completion of formal computed tomography training program (one year) or equivalent on-the-job experience; Possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card; Knowledge of computed tomography techniques, operation and care of CT equipment; Structural and organic anatomy knowledge; Ability to work independently within established guidelines; Experience in workload scheduling and record maintenance; Good patient positioning skills.
• Additional Skills: Radiation safety, contrast media administration, radiographic functions, patient care, billing system input, on-the-job computed tomography experience, tactful communication, acute care hospital procedures, workload scheduling, record maintenance, and patient positioning.
• Education: High school diploma or GED; graduation from a two-year accredited radiologic technology program; certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist (ARRT ID required).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days if not already held.
• Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience.
