CT Technologist located at the healthcare provider's facility, this position involves performing PET imaging on patients across all ages to assist in diagnosing illnesses. The technologist operates under the general supervision of the Director of PET and the clinical supervision of the reading physician, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and precise imaging practices.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program; active registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology (N); active license from the State of New York Department of Health (Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License Diagnostic with Injection Registered); active CT certification for diagnostic CT and PET-CT fusion imaging; current BLS certification; no minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days, 7.5 hours per shift, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to start peripheral IV access lines, perform injection procedures including manual unit doses, and operate medical, processing, and charting systems. The technologist must maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols, perform quality assurance tasks, and assist with administrative duties related to imaging procedures. Flexibility in work schedule and effective team collaboration are essential.
