Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General in an acute care facility located on the coast. The position involves performing general diagnostic ultrasounds with a focus on focused vascular studies such as lower extremities to rule out deep vein thrombosis. The role requires flexible scheduling, including evenings and rotating weekends, with on-call standby rotation.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, RDMS-AB (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Abdomen), RDMS-OB (Obstetrics), RDMS-BR (Breast) or RDMS either AB, OB, or B; 2 years of related ultrasound experience required. Candidates must have a valid state license; a compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Schedule: Evenings, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Conduct general ultrasound examinations including thoracentesis, paracentesis, kidney, and liver biopsies, with familiarity using Trophon High Level Disinfection. Perform focused vascular ultrasounds such as lower extremities to rule out DVT. EMR documentation utilizing Epic system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal or pediatric ultrasound, particularly in NICU or outpatient settings, is advantageous.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience. Must be willing to work rotating weekends, participate in standby on-call duties, and work holidays as scheduled. Candidates must respond to the pre-submission questions regarding previous work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the past three years.
