Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist, CT Located in San Joaquin County, this position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to generate cross-sectional images of patients bones, organs, and tissues for diagnosis. The role includes performing various imaging procedures such as general radiography and fluoroscopy, supporting the healthcare providers diagnostic needs.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology; valid registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)); Radiologic Technician (RT) license in the state of practice; Advanced Certification in the modality of CT; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (CA); venipuncture certification in CA.
- Schedule: Evening shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with start times varying from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm depending on staffing needs. The primary start time is 1:30 pm.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images correctly.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information.
- Ensures image integrity and compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance and calibration, manages supply inventory.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
