Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) Inpatient/ED Night shift (6:00 PM 6:30 AM), 36 hours per week. This position involves providing respiratory therapy care for adult and pediatric patients, with responsibilities including drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases from arterial lines and assisting with intubations. The role supports a dedicated healthcare team within a hospital setting, ensuring optimal patient care.

Job Details

• Position Description: RT treatments per day include management of ventilators with 5-6 treatments daily. Involves drawing arterial blood gases from arterial lines and punctures, assisting with intubations, and providing respiratory care for adult and pediatric inpatients and emergency department patients.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications ACLS, BLS, CRT, RRT; Education appropriate respiratory therapy degree or equivalent; Location Requirements availability for night shift; Experience 0 years minimum.
• Schedule: Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, working three days a week, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and pediatric respiratory care, proficiency with Ventilator management, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records system (EPIC).
• Additional Information: Performing ABG analysis from arterial lines and punctures, assisting with patient intubations, and working under the supervision of the respiratory care leadership team. The hospital has a comprehensive orientation process and maintains in-house intensivist or hospitalist support.
