Job Summary
Xray Technologist Springfield, Virginia. This role involves performing both computed tomography (CT) and X-ray procedures at the Springfield Healthplex. The position requires a dual modality technologist with strong IV skills and the ability to handle a variety of common studies such as CT head, abdomen, pelvis, angio, extremities, and routine X-ray exams.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, Tuesday through Thursday, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Virginia State license, ARRT-CT certification, ARRT-R certification, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, strong IV skills.
• Additional Responsibilities: Performing up to 15-22 exams per day, covering CT (heads, abdomen, pelvis, angio, extremities) and routine X-ray exams (chest, port, etc.).
• Certifications: Active BLS, ARRT-CT, ARRT-R are required for submission.
• On-Call & Holiday: Backup on-call one weekend per month; holidays include one major and one minor, if falling on scheduled shift.
• Equipment & Systems: Experience with EPIC EMR, Fuji PACs (preferred), GE CT units, and Philips X-ray units preferred.
• Additional Notes: Must have strong IV skills; no floating expectations; responsible for responding to shifts within 45 minutes if called.
