Job Summary
CT Technologist Healthcare Facility, Location: unspecified. This role involves performing computed tomography procedures under the supervision of management, utilizing ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images. The position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various imaging equipment in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: High school diploma or GED, graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiography program, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT & RT), valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control (RT & CT), at least 1 year current computed tomography technologist experience, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Perform computed tomography scanning procedures independently, operate control consoles, position patient for scans, and ensure safety and comfort. Maintain equipment, review imaging for quality, assist with contrast media administration if trained, and follow all departmental policies and infection control standards. Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain confidentiality at all times.
