Job Summary
Perfusionist Specialty Location: The organization is seeking a qualified perfusionist to support adult cardiac surgeries in an acute care setting. The role involves providing perfusion support for both on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) cases, valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provide perfusion support utilizing spectrum pumps and Viper system documentation for complex cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and TAVR, within a hybrid cath lab environment.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of two years of recent related work experience; additional licensure or certification may be required based on credentialing by Sanford.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a call rotation once per week. The first case begins at 0730 in the operating room. The position involves working approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role requires working with a team of surgeons and perfusionists, with orientation involving comprehensive one-to-one training with a perfusionist. Willingness to float to additional units or campuses if necessary, including HIPEC procedures, is preferred.
  • Submission Requirements: Completed application, employment history with dates and locations, proof of coverage for criminal offenses (COI), copies of diplomas and certifications, evidence of clinical activity in the last 12 months, and COVID-19 vaccination or exemption documentation if applicable.
