Description
Perfusionist
Overview
- Fargo, North Dakota
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Unit / Department
- 2 OR rooms, with access to a robotic room
- All TAVRs are done in the hybrid cath lab
- The unit works with 4 surgeons and 4 perfusionists
Procedures / Clinical Scope
- CABG
- Valve replacement surgeries, including AVR, MVR, and robotic valves
- TAVR/TAVI for adults only
- On-pump and off-pump perfusion support
- May float to Broadway campus only if the clinician can do HIPEC
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS, AHA
- Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience
- Willing and able to take call
- ND does not require a license
Preferred Qualifications
- ABCP
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Call rotation: one night per week and every other or every third weekend
- First case start in the OR on weekdays is 0730
Additional Credentialing / Onboarding Items
- Completed application
- List of employments and employment dates
- If working with a staffing company, include that in employment history with dates and locations worked
- COIs for each employment, if applicable
- Copy of training/diploma
- Copy of board certification
- Evidence of clinical activity: 40 encounters in the last 12 months
- Notarized ID
- Employee health clearance, including TB titer and urine drug screen
- Flu vaccine or exemption form if starting between December and May
Other Notes
- Clinicians must badge in and out
- Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
- Submission must note if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health
- If previously worked there, the end date must be at least 6 months before the submission date
